Description
Chuck tests his emotional capability when he has to turn his very first asset.
Notes
(A) This was a great episode of Chuck. It gets to the central thesis of this season. Can Chuck become a real, legit spy? Should he?It harkens back to the show's original mythology, when Sarah first turned him into an asset. I loved the episode and the dramatic crisis it placed on Chuck. Chuck is becoming everything that Sara sought to protect Chuck from becoming.
Sara's body language throughout the whole episode was amazing. I don't think she looked Chuck in the eye the entire episode. Chuck is becoming an agent. He is able to cold-heartedly lie to his family and friends and he is able to burn an asset. Something not possible for Chuck three years ago.
The episode was also funny. Kristin Kreuk as Hannah provided the comic relief. She looks great as a member of the Nerd Heard. It was funny to watch all the "Buy-More-ons," as Casey called them, drooling over her. I can't say I wouldn't do the same.
I especially liked a few lines by Lester during the show. "What are you doing Friday. You want to hang in my van," and "It is my constitutional right to fornicate."
I can't wait for the next episode. This season is really getting good.
