PARKS AND RECREATION: "The Possum"

Original Air Date
March 11, 2010

Description
When a pesky possum wreaks havoc on a Pawnee golf course, Leslie is asked to set up a task force.

Notes
(A)
I almost wet myself when Andy dove on the possum at the golf course. This was a great Andy episode. I wonder when he is going to find out that April likes him. Almost every one else in the office has figured it out now, except him.

I love when they include the local newspaper reporter, who is apparently a bit easy, in the show. That has little to do with anything, but it has always been amusing. Remember Leslie's appearances on Pawnee Today during her sex scandal?

This show is also become sort of like Gilligan's Island in a sense with the park that Leslie is trying to build. On Gilligan's Island there was also a way to get off the island that would eventually fail. That is is the same with Leslie's park. It is slowly coming together, but every time that she is given the chance of making the park a reality, she finds a way to blow it.

PARKS AND RECREATION: "Woman of the Year"

Original Air Date
March 4, 2010

Description
Leslie is outraged when Ron wins a "Woman of the Year" award for a project she started. Meanwhile, Tom is desperate to find some money to invest in a local Pawnee club.

Notes
(B)
Just the concept of this episode was brilliant. Ron Swanson is voted Woman of the Year in Pawnee, an award that Leslie pines to receive. Then the fact that Swanson would play it up like he deserved the award over Leslie just to make a point was classic Ron. It was also kind of sweet, in a weird way.

Are Ron and Leslie inching toward a romantic relationship, or are they just growing closer as buddy-buddy? Either way, Parks and Recreation keeps getting better with time.

PARKS AND RECREATION: "Galentine's Day"

Original Air Date
February 12, 2010

Description
Leslie and Justin reunite her mom with a long lost love, only for it to end in disaster.

Notes
(B) It is pretty funny that Tom has a man-crush on Justin, probably more so than Leslie.

Finally we can ditch April's boyfriend and his gay boyfriend. I was getting sick of them, but I think that was the point they were going for, because April was getting sick of them.

Now its time for some April and Andy action. That should be fun. Looks like Leslie is heading for a breakup with Justin and maybe even Ann and Mark have some issues. I would love it if Mark and Leslie hooked up for another one-nighter. That would be rather funny.

Also are the writers laying the groundwork for an eventual Ron and Leslie storyline? Could these two lions hook up? That would be very amusing.

I wonder what is going to happen with Tom and his greencard ex-wife. It doesn't appear that they are going to start dating anytime soon, so hopefully Tom will find some interesting avenue. Tom isn't very fun when he is sad and lonely, he is funnier when he is largely overconfident.

PARKS AND RECREATION: "Sweetums"

Original Air Date
February 4, 2010

Description
Leslie fights for the health of Pawnee after realizing the amount of corn syrup found in certain new energy bars.

Notes
(B+)
I thoroughly enjoyed the fight over the energy bars. I loved how the owners of "Sweetums" made the energy bars seem healthy in their advertisements with the family frolicking in the outdoors with Michael J. Fox vests on. That worked. That was funny.

The second storyline was also pretty amusing. It was moving day for Tom as his green-card marriage has come to an end. He gets his office friends to help and pretty much do all the work for him.

It also looks like April is getting really close to splitsville with her bisexual boyfriend. That has to happen sometime soon, clearing the way for a hook-up with Andy?
