Notes
(A) Well anytime someone get's their cock cut off, you are going to have an interesting episode. In a somewhat shocking scene, the unfortunate slave and would-be gladiator, was squirting blood from his cockless crotch as he was strung up for having attempted to kill Spartacus.
I say somewhat shocking because this has become some what the norm for this appropriately vulger and lascivious show.
The attempt the life of Spartacus was thwarted by Crixus, despite the fact that the two do not get along. Perhaps they will someday become true brothers in arms. Crixus is hurt and struggling to regain his former glory, but you get the feeling that he will rise again.
Ashur -- a former gladiator forced to stop fighting due to injury, who remains at the ludus to work for Batiatus as a bookmaker in addition to aiding other gladiators -- continues to be a devious fellow. I wonder if his death is pending this season? His secrets, which have led to the death of Barca and others, are bound to surface.
I also hope that someone finds the time to murder Ilithyia –- the daughter of senator Albinius and wife of Glaber. Her husband is the man who betrayed Spartacus and bound him into slavery.
Ilithyia is just a wretched creature. She is delightful to look at, but I am really sick of her pompous attitude. There is also the fact that she sent the slave to kill Spartacus. She deserves some retribution and generally I would just like her to be dead.
